Hackett Holland is a multi-disciplinary architectural practice, based in London and founded by Johnny Holland and Jane Hackett in 2001.
Their services include architectural design and planning, interior design and decoration, landscaping and gardens and the majority of their work is in high quality refurbishment and new build for private clients.
Johnny is particularly committed to finding sustainable solutions in both old and new buildings and is at the forefront of emerging green technologies for energy efficient buildings. As he says “We aim to build with as many natural and traditional materials as is practicable, combined with discrete green technology”.
The company is frequently featured in the press and was again this year listed as one of House & Garden’s Top 100 Interior Designers. They work with the most highly regarded companies and specialists in the industry and count Broseley as one of their ‘go to’ builders for London projects. Indeed, the Broseley film on our website includes a cameo role for Johnny and his team. They also have the best contacts among cabinetmakers, upholsterers, antique dealers and art consultants among many others and are well known for their fitted kitchens, bathrooms, dressing rooms and libraries.

As members of The Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment (as well as INTBAU and SPAB), Hackett Holland have exceptional knowledge and skill in working on the conservation of historic buildings and as Johnny always says “Good design is not the preserve of any particular style, and our work crosses the boundaries of stylistic definition where we apply a rigorous approach to the detailing of both the traditional and the modern”.
Our View? Johnny and his team always strike the balance between the historic and the modern perfectly, and we are on the same page with our own environmental concerns. We much enjoy working with Hackett Holland for their expertise, collaborative approach, professionalism and great design.
